President Elias Warrak meets with the Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rai

​President Elias Warrak met today with the Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rai, at the Patriarchal summer residence, in Diman. The discussion focused on the challenges faced by higher education institutions in view of the current situation in Lebanon.
President Warrak also reviewed with the Patriarch the Educational Charter issued by His Beatitude, which serves as an important educational reference, enabling Lebanon to retain its pioneering role in promoting intercultural dialogue.
President Warrak wished His Beatitude a pleasant stay in North Lebanon and presented the Patriarch an icon of the Virgin Mary.
The meeting was followed by a luncheon.
