GMAT Preparatory Course

The Faculty of Business and Management (FOBM) is offering a GMAT preparatory course starting November, open to graduates from all universities and from all backgrounds.

Offering this course at the FOBM is prompted by a number of reasons, says the dean of the faculty of Business and Management, Dr. Karim Nasr. “First, studies show that GMAT test takers who do not prepare for the test score the lowest. Studies also show that those who prepare on their own for two or three weeks score in the lowest 25 percentile,” he added.

The right mix between taking preparatory courses and allocating dedicated time for studying, says Dr. Nasr, places test takers in the upper 50 percentile at a minimum. “These preparatory courses are of great relevance since they fill the needs of students in the north of the country,” he added.

The course, explains Dr. Nasr, is being taught by experts who have themselves taken and obtained very high scores on the GMAT. “This is certain to produce high results,” he says. Dr. Nasr also expressed the opinion that those who do well on their GMAT are very likely to perform well in their MBA courses.

“The course we are offering is well thought out, well studied and well organized,” said Nasr.  Participants will receive the required textbooks, in addition to instructions and tips on how to study and do well on an exam that has become a requirement by institutions offering master’s programs in business administration.
