As a part of the University of Balamand Orientation Day, the Faculty of Engineering welcomed a group of new undergraduate students. After a general orientation presentation, the faculty received the new students at the Engineering Complex where Prof. Elie Karam, Acting Dean of Issam Fares Faculty of Technology, and Faculty of Engineering members greeted the group on behalf of Dean of Faculty of Engineering Prof. Rami Abboud who was unfortunately overseas and sad not to be available in person to welcome the new students.

In a welcoming address, Prof. Karam introduced the recent achievements by the staff and the current students and showcased the Faculty departments, facilities and institutes. He encouraged students to maximize the benefit of their UOB Student experience citing the student support services, the faculty and the university on what they have to offer.

The new students toured the fascinating Faculty facilities with the faculty members and had mini information sessions at their respective departments. They subsequently rejoined their peers from other faculties at the closing reception at the Glass Room in Zakhem Building.
