​Vice President for Internationalization & Engagement and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Rami Abboud received President of the Order of Engineers and Architects of Tripoli Mr. Bassam Ziadeh, Vice President Mr. Anthony Azar, and Head of the fifth branch of employed engineers Dr. Ali Harmouch in his office at the University of Balamand - UOB yesterday. The discussion focused on the current status of the Engineering Profession and Engineering Education in North Lebanon and opportunities for collaboration in this respect especially in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The meeting was attended by Dr. Amal Iaaly Sankari, Director of the GIS Center at the Faculty of Engineering and Mr. Mike P. Salem, Faculty publicity and development coordinator. The visit was followed by a tour of the laboratories and advanced facilities at the faculty.
