On Saturday, February 20th, 2021, the Office of Student Affairs, department of Campus Life and Student development, organized an online retreat for members of clubs and club officers across UOB campuses. During the half-day event staff members at the OSA shared their experiences with students highlighting ways different departments of the office can work with clubs to organize events and activities. Due to the current situation with the lockdown and the pandemic, special emphasis was placed on organizing online events. This was the focus of more than one segment during the day. Finally, a workshop on social media management and promotion of digital events was conducted in collaboration with the university digital communications team.

In turn, Dr. Walid Moubayed, Acting Dean of Admissions, Registration, and Student Affairs emphasized student activities as an integral part of the university student experience. He assured that the Office of Student Affairs will work closely with student clubs to reinvigorate student activities. ​
