The University of Balamand and Union of Arab Banks sign a memorandum of understanding

Balamand, May 11, 2022: The University of Balamand (UOB) and the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide union members with exclusive access to the newly launched Human Resource Certified Online Program (HRCP). The MOU was signed by Dr. Elias Warrak, President of UOB and Mr. Wissam Fattouh, General Secretary of UAB. The University of Balamand created the HRCP with the main aim of transforming traditional HR management into a modern strategic talent architect that drives business results, contributes to the bottom line, and ultimately earns a seat at the decision-making table.

Fully endorsing the program, The UAB is committed to promoting the program and its benefits within the various participating banks and institutions.

The program consists of five courses, which can either be taken on a course-by-course basis or as a full program. To receive the project completion certification stamped by both parties, participants must complete these five courses: Strategic HR Management, Recruitment, Selection and Talent Acquisition, Compensation Management, Learning and Development and HR Transformation (24-Hours).

The program is ideal for HR professionals as well as professionals from various fields who are interested in exploring a career in HR. Delivered 100% online, courses included interactive lessons, videos and various activities that are designed to help participants meet the challenges of a career as an HR professional and business partner.

Dr. Elias Warrak, President of the University of Balamand, welcomed the Union of Arab Banks representatives during his speech at the signing, stressing on the importance of the shared vision between the two parties, in encouraging excellence in the workplace and developing the skills and capabilities of administrators and pioneers working in the human resources sector. In addition to building leadership methods to improve strategy and decision making.

In his turn, Mr. Wissam Fattouh commended the legacy of the University of Balamand as one of the leading educational institutions in Lebanon. Mr. Fattouh also expressed his pride in this partnership, which aims at developing advanced programs in human resources, that would in turn, empower and enhance the professional career paths of the Union of Arab Banks members in this field. ​
