On June 1st 2022 the University of Balamand hosted the Annual Awards Ceremony at the Koura Campus. The ceremony aims to celebrate student achievements and their contribution to campus life during the academic year. After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the ceremony aimed to celebrate athletes, clubs, and active students. The event was attended by President Warrak, vice presidents, deans, directors, faculty members, and more than 250 students.

During his opening speech, Dr. Elias Warrak addressed the student community highlighting campus life as main contributor to creating interaction between students and developing major communication opportunities among them, despite their different academic directions. Thereby contributing to their personal and professional development.

In turn, Mr. Michael Salem, Director of Student Affairs, and Mr Ghaleb Halimi, Director of Athletics, Wellness, and Recreation spoke briefly about the achievements of both their departments during the academic year upon the lifting of campus lockdown measures. Both underlined campus life as a key pillar of the wholesome UOB Student Experience.

During the awards ceremony students from all UOB campuses received 25 awards for their contribution to campus life through unique activities and events. Additionally, 25 athletes received awards for their athletic achievements over the academic year. The event was concluded by a reception.
