BHA, Bibliotheca Hagiographica Arabica, is a database for the prosopography of Saints; these could be short accounts of their lives, acts and martyrdom, or longer accounts, preserved in the Arabic language. In the first stage, the main aim of this project was to host the Edition of the Byzantine Synaxarion in Arabic Translation and connect it with the same literary genre preserved in other languages, mainly oriental. This was the first step toward a comprehensive and progressive database for all Hagiography.
