Undergraduate Degrees
The Nursing Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences offers a three-year Undergraduate BS degree. The course of study is done in partnership with Saint George Hospital University Medical Center in Ashrafieh- Beirut. Parallel programs are offered on the Main Campus of the University and at Souk El Gharb campus.
The Nursing Program is dedicated to fostering quality nursing education and developing the nursing profession and the health care environment in Lebanon and the region. This is done by embracing innovation in the delivery and management of evidence-based health care education underpinned by research and ethics.
The Program aims at providing a positive environment for faculty, staff, and students through enhancing leadership abilities, analytical and critical thinking, technical skills, and community involvement.

Pre-Medical Track
Students who consider the option of a medical career can choose to enroll in a Pre-Medical Track. This provides the opportunity to complete premedical courses in three years, after which students can take the MCAT, and be eligible to apply to Medical School.
Ladder Program in Nursing
The Nursing Program offers a Ladder Program that upgrades a TS and BT degree holder in nursing to the level of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For more information

After Graduation
Nursing Graduates will have the opportunity to work in hospitals, primary health care centers, school health, and diverse community settings. Some choose to pursue higher education in Nursing sciences and various other disciplines of health, education, and hospital and health administration and management.
MS in Nursing (MSN)
The Faculty of Health Sciences offers a two-year graduate program leading to a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Nursing. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is offered in English at the Achrafieh campus facing the St. George Hospital University Medical Center.
The program prepares advanced and qualified professionals to work in specialized fields within Nursing. It includes two specializations: Neonatal and Child Care and Adult Care.

MSN Mission
The MSN program at the Faculty of Health Sciences prepares advanced qualified nurses to respond to the increasing health care challenges and socio-demographic changes at the national, regional, and international levels. The Program prepares graduates who are critical thinkers, assertive leaders, effective communicators rigorous researchers, and determined advocates to respond to the emerging health care priorities.

After Graduation
Our graduates will have the capacity and skills to take on leadership roles of advanced practice in specialized areas. Graduates will also be able to act as a reference, consultant, and expert in their field of specialization. Graduates are well prepared to pursue doctoral studies in a related discipline to continue their Nursing education and research in their field of specialization as well as to pursue higher studies in management and administration.
The Academic Service Committee
The Academic Service Committee is a standing committee, established in collaboration with the St. George Hospital University Medical Center (SGHUMC) Nursing Department and the Nursing Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences-UOB. This Committee aims at enhancing and nurturing collaboration between the two institutions in order to foster academic standards of nursing education and the quality of nursing care. The members of the Committee are representatives of the two institutions. The Chairperson and two Nursing faculty members represent the FHS-UOB Nursing Program. The Director and two nurses represent the Nursing Department at SGHUMC. The committee’s objectives are to :
