UOB Air Pollution Research Poster wins award at XIth IEA-EMR meetings

A team composed of University of Balamand student Mr. Elie Ghabi, Med III, and of Drs. Myriam Mrad, Elias Chalhoub and Laurie Abi Habib, Faculty of Health Sciences, in collaboration with Dr. Wehbe Farah, Dr. Maher Abboud and Dr. Nelly Ziade of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, received an award for their research poster entitled “Using Paper Based Registries in Studying the Health Effects of Air Pollution: Case of Beirut” at the XIth International Epidemiological Association Eastern Mediterranean Regional Scientific Meetings. The conference, held at the Bristol Hotel, Beirut from February 21–23, 2019, presented the latest epidemiological research in the MENA region. The meetings gathered public health professionals, clinicians, academicians and field workers from national and international universities, NGOs and health organizations.
