What is the BBA degree?
The BBA degree provides students with exposure to the full range of hard and soft skills needed to be successful in various business settings. This incorporates rigorous learning combined with an understanding of decision-making processes as well as the mobilization of resources for adaptation in rapidly changing local, regional, and global environments.

What do you learn?
  • • In terms of functional skills, the students learn the languages of business, namely accounting and economics. They learn how to make sound investment decisions using the fundamental theories of finance. The learn how to develop, price and promote a product or a service for a certain market segment using the concepts of marketing. They learn how to develop a sustainable source of competitive advantage through strategic management. They learn how to be moral leaders and how to motivate people to achieve noble visions using management and organizational behavior models.
  • • In terms of soft skills, the students learn critical thinking for effective decision-making; effective teamwork and communication; ethical behavior and social responsibility.

Where would you work?
When someone receives a BBA degree, the sky is the limit. Unlike many other degrees, the BBA spans across different industries and different sectors. Indeed, the BBA graduates have the choice to work in a wide array of organizations of different vocations, including for-profit corporations, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, non-governmental agencies, and so on. The program also uniquely conditions a student to become an entrepreneur or to join a family business.

How long does it take to complete the degree?

A student admitted at the sophomore level would need to take 94 credits from the sophomore level to complete the program, which translates into three years of study (excluding the remedial English courses).

What concentrations could you take in the BBA program?
You could have a concentration in (1) accounting and auditing; (2) finance; (3) management and entrepreneurship; (4) marketing and innovation; (5) economics. You need to take at least 12 credits in a specific track to have a concentration.

Are concentrations compulsory in the BBA program?
Concentrations are certainly not compulsory in the BBA program. Some students see the value of being flexible and having broad business knowledge. After graduation, the students always have the option to concentrate in a discipline of their choice in graduate schools, certificate programs, or specialized seminars / courses.
