Our four-year MD Program consists of two pre-clinical years spent on the main campus and two clinical years at Saint George University Medical Center, a 380- bed hospital and academic medical centre, in Beirut where most of the clinical faculty are USA-Board, or Europe-Board certified.

The Faculty of Medicine is also affiliated to several universities and medical centres in the USA to provide elective training for its students. It records 60 to 80 clerkships in the USA per year as electives, which around fifty per cent of fourth-year medical students choose to take up.

The Faculty of Medicine has built a solid academic reputation, based upon the performance of our medical students in the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) and the number of our graduates gaining entry into prestigious US residency programs.

The passing rate of our medical students at their first attempt on STEP1/STEP2 CK/ and STEP 2 CS is higher than the overall average for international medical graduates and, according to recent ECFMG data, many of our graduates are ECFMG certified, with more than 100 among them currently in residencies or fellowships in the United States of America.
