Mission
The Dermatology Residency Program is designed to offer residents the knowledge, clinical expertise, and technical skills to become competent specialists in dermatology.

Objectives
The Dermatology Residency Program provides residents with the learning and clinical opportunities that allow them to practice as dermatologists and function as medical consultants to physicians in the management of dermatologic manifestations of systemic disease.

Program Learning Outcomes
By the end of their training, residents are expected to:
  1. Conduct a medical history and perform a physical examination with a focus on dermatology.
  2. Write medical orders and reports.
  3. Acquire the clinical experience fundamental for the practice of Medical and Pediatric Dermatology.
  4. Acquire the technical skills fundamental for the practice of Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology procedures.
  5. Formulate a diagnosis.
  6. Manage common dermatologic conditions.
  7. Serve as medical consultants for other physicians in the formulation of inpatients plans of care.
  8. Participate in Departmental Conferences and rounds.
  9. Practice continuous self-education.
