Mission
The mission of the Pediatric Residency Program is to provide residents with the clinical experience and knowledge needed for providing a compassionate pediatric patient care.
Objectives
The Pediatric Residency Program aims to produce residents with a cumulative experience in diagnosis and management of all aspects of pediatric disease and a professional attitude in dealing with the families of pediatric patients.
Program Learning Outcomes
By the end of their training, residents are expected to:
- Assess and manage pediatric patients.
- Master the technical skills needed to optimize pediatric patient care.
- Perform and master basic invasive techniques.
- Perform and assist in all types of resuscitations.
- Acquire Emergency Room experience in pediatric patient care.
- Acquire autonomy in clinical decision making.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy for pediatric patients and their families.
