The BS program in Chemistry aims at providing students with the following knowledge and skills:
- Understand the fundamentals in the various fields in chemistry.
- Acquire skills in problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Acquire safety, operational and analytical skills required in chemistry laboratories.
- Communicate effectively in the chemistry field and develop interpersonal skills.
- Be able to join a graduate program in a field of study related to chemistry.

Upon the successful completion of the BS curriculum in Chemistry, graduates must be able to demonstrate:
- Execution of fundamental laboratory experiments, resulting in a scientific report.
- Effective communication and defense of scientific information and data.
- Overall knowledge in the various fields of chemistry.
- Theoretical and experimental application of chemical concepts and instrumentation.
- Use of critical thinking in solving chemistry problems/exercises.

Master of Science in Chemistry
Program Learning Objectives
The MS program in Chemistry aims at furnishing students with the following knowledge and skills:
- Acquire advanced knowledge of theories and concepts in significant areas of chemistry.
- Acquire specialized knowledge in focused areas related to the thesis project.
- Apply fundamentals of research methodologies to interpret scientific data.
- Be able to explore new areas of research based on expert literature review.
- Be able to communicate knowledge, write a scientific manuscript and defend a thesis.
- Be able to join Ph.D. programs or research projects in related fields.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of the MS curriculum in Chemistry, graduates are anticipated to:
- Operate specific instruments.
- Work safely and independently in a Chemistry Lab.
- Carry out a Bibliography search.
- Design or modify a procedure.
- Analyze and discuss data; draw conclusions and take decision for future work.
- Write, present, discuss and defend their project.
