It gives me great pleasure to announce the functionality of our newly established facility for the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Dekwaneh Campus in the University of Balamand.

Despite all the harsh challenges, and tremendous hardships, we were able to seize the opportunity to help our students, staff, and faculty members during this existential crisis.

MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

 On January 15, 2021, I was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Balamand. I consider it a true privilege to serve this prestigious University in Lebanon and a true honor to contribute to its continued development as the second best university in Lebanon based on the QS ranking of universities.

I am also delighted to be involved in the day-to-day preparation for the opening of the new FHS home at the Dekwaneh, Alba campus. I am confident it will be a microcosm of the main UOB Al Kurah Campus.

Medical Laboratory Sciences

The Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program at FHS-UOB offers a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory (regular track and pre-med track), and a Master of Science in two fields of specialization: Molecular Biology, and Infectious Diseases & Immunology as well as a Professional Master degree in Laboratory Management.






Nursing Program

The Nursing Program at FHS-UOB offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in English & French, and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in English in two fields of specialization: Adult Care and Neonatology and Pediatric Care. Nutritional Sciences

At UOB, we see Nutrition as an exciting and ever-changing multidisciplinary science field. There is a place for everyone interested in nutrition and food science. Since its establishment in 2008, our Department has emphasized on the role of nutrition in the health and well-being of people.

 





Public Health

During these uncommon times, people are getting more aware of and convinced about the role of public health practitioners in reshaping the health of communities and in contributing to the creation of better health systems. In the Public Health Department, we pursue our mission through our undergraduate and graduate programs..





 






 

Department of Community Engagement


Over the years, the Department of Community Engagement developed solid partnerships with all those concerned with community development in Lebanon while building their interventions to be people centered.
