The University of Balamand (UOB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Digital Transformation and Governance Network Lebanon (DTGNL) at the UOB Koura Campus. The MOU was signed in the presence of UOB President Dr. Elias Warrak, General Coordinator of DTGNL Professor Nadim Mansouri, The Chief Operating Officer and the Assistant to the President for Health Affairs at UOB Dr. Youssef Bassim, DTGNL Coordinator of the Higher Education sector Professor Wadiha El Amiouni, Media and Communications Coordinator Mr. Patrick Abu Chakra, Security and Defense Coordinator Brigadier General Hussein Kamel Zaaruri, Empowerment and Creativity Coordinator Dr. Dal Al Hitti, and the Coordinator of the Strategic Planning Committee, Mr. Rudy Shoshani.

This partnership aims to develop and strengthen the knowledge of instructors, staff and students about digital transformation, as well as enhance the principles of digital governance that foster trust and transparency. This will be accomplished through training, exchange of expertise and provision of technical and technological guidance to achieve a future vision for technology in education.

Professor Nadim Mansour emphasized the importance of implementing a technological vision, stating: "DTGNL aims to provide distinguished digital performance and attain sustainability across all sectors." He added: "By partnering with a prominent academic and educational institution such as UOB, we anticipate meaningful and beneficial results in terms of digital governance."

In his own remarks, Dr. Elias Warrak acknowledged the constructive role played by DTGNL: "We are grateful for DTGNL for their ongoing efforts to enhance capabilities and skills through digital transformation. Their work is undoubtedly elevating the academic performance of universities in Lebanon and advancing the scientific-academic field to new technological heights."
