The University of Balamand offers remedial courses for students following the University’s continuous commitment to provide access to higher education for students of varied educational backgrounds.
The University of Balamand offers remedial courses to the following categories of students:
Baccalaureate LH Holders:
- SE-SB refers to students with Baccalaureate SE (Sociology & Economics) with a scientific background (i.e., grade 11 Scientific Section)
- SE-LB refers to students with Baccalaureate SE (Sociology & Economics) with the literary background (i.e., grade 11 Literary Section)
- LH refers to students with Baccalaureate LH, Literature and Humanities
Baccalaureate SE Holders
- SE-SB refers to students with Baccalaureate SE (Sociology & Economics) with a scientific background (i.e., grade 11 Scientific Section)
- SE-LB refers to students with Baccalaureate SE (Sociology & Economics) with the literary background (i.e., grade 11 Literary Section)
- LH refers to students with Baccalaureate LH, Literature and Humanities
Baccalaureate BT Holders
Applicants to the University of Balamand are accepted under
Special Orientation Program (SOP)
Thanaweyyah A’ammah Holders
Applicants to the University of Balamand are accepted under
Special Orientation Program (SOP) - Thanaweyyah A’ammah
Thanaweyyah A’ammah Holders refer to Students that had their secondary education in a language other than English or lack the required proficiency in the English Language
Students who hold any of the degrees mentioned above can take remedial courses based on their background and Intended Major of Study.
