International Students Office

We are here to support you! The International Students Office recognizes that international students require guidance in a variety of areas from application requirements and legal documents to cultural integration.

We offer a meaningful educational experience for international students by organizing entertaining events at our lively campus to ensure that international students are making the best of their stay in Lebanon on both the educational and personal spheres.

Visas & Residency Cards: International students coming from abroad should seek a visitor visa from the Lebanese Embassy, after presenting the official letter of acceptance from the University of Balamand. Upon arrival to Lebanon, they should apply for residency. Students should ensure that they are holding a valid passport and that the residency is obtained before expiration of the visitor visa.

Equivalency of Degrees: the high school diploma should be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the student is residing. Upon arrival to Lebanon , the student should seek certification from the Ministry of Education. Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Fall and Spring Semesters and from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Summer semester.
