Balamand, X April, 2023: The University of Balamand in Lebanon (UOB) and the American University of Cyprus (AUCY) have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on the development of various academic programs in Cyprus. The signing ceremony took place at the University of Balamand's Al Koura campus and was attended by President of UOB, Dr. Elias Warrak; President of AUCY, Dr. Marc-Antoine Zabbal; Mr. Andreas Vyras, the Mayor of Larnaca; in addition to Dr. Salim Kanaan, Vice-President for Enrollment Management and Alumni Relations at UOB; and other UOB and AUCY faculty and board members.

This collaboration between the University of Balamand, a leading Lebanese University, and the American University of Cyprus, an innovative and unique Cypriot-American educational institution, is expected to result in a successful endeavour with an added value to the various academic sectors. ​
