The Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the University of Balamand celebrated a significant milestone in the lives of 126 aspiring doctors during its prestigious White Coat Ceremony. The event, held at the Koura Campus, symbolized the students' entry into the medical profession and their commitment to uphold the highest standards of care, compassion, and professionalism.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome note from Dr. Karim Echtay, followed by an inspiring message from student Mohammad Labban, highlighting the dedication and hard work of the medical cohort. Dr. Sami Azar, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, delivered a profound speech emphasizing the privilege and responsibility associated with wearing the white coat.

Dean Azar stated: “As you embark on your clinical years, armed with your pristine white coats, remember that you are not merely medical students anymore; you are the ambassadors of healing and hope. Adding to the significance of the event, the ceremony featured a keynote address from Prof. Marc Cooper, a distinguished scholar from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Prof. Cooper's insightful words, resonated with the aspiring doctors, motivating them to embrace their new roles, he stated: "Congratulations to the future doctors of the University of Balamand! As you embark on this noble journey, I wish you all the best in your exciting adventures providing the Lebanese population with the best clinical care available. During his address, Dr. Elias Warrak, President of the University of Balamand, emphasized the profound meaning behind the white coat, transcending its role as a mere dress code.
