Standout students from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Balamand, Wael Al Sayegh (Computer Engineering Student) and Roweida Chehayeb (Electrical Engineering Student), have secured spots in the upcoming Spring 2024 Internship Program at InMind Academy. Their selection was grounded not only on their high GPAs earned at the University of Balamand but also in their exemplary performance in the rigorous placement test administered by InMind—a prominent tech company renowned for its enterprise-level software solutions.

InMind Academy, a collaborative initiative with BMW Group and IdealWorks, is creating exciting opportunities for students to undergo a transformative learning experience. This joint venture aims to enhance the skills of Lebanon's brightest minds, drawing talent from leading universities such as the University of Balamand, and preparing them for a potential six-month internship at BMW Group and its industrial partners in Munich, Germany. The interns joining the program will have the chance to learn more about front-end and back-end development, DevOps, AI and machine learning, as well as robotics applications programming.

Wael and Roweida are excited to start their new academic journey, which will offer them a hands-on opportunity to apply their newfound skills in real-world scenarios. Stepping into this innovative program, their enthusiasm reflects the numerous opportunities that await them on this new path.

Vice President for Internationalization and Engagement and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Professor Rami Abboud congratulated Wael and Roweida on this academic achievement, which reflects the Faculty of Engineering's commitment to cultivating top talents and propelling its students toward success in the forefront of cutting-edge technology fields. Prof. Abboud added: “As the University of Balamand continues to foster innovation and academic excellence, our brilliant engineering students stand as shining examples of our institution's dedication to advancing its students in the field of technology and industry. The Spring 2024 program at InMind Academy is not just a milestone for these two exceptional candidates; it's a testament to the limitless potential cultivated within the walls of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Balamand”.
