The Faculty of Engineering (FOE) at the University of Balamand (UOB) is proud to announce that Dr. Jihad Daba, a Full Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, has been elevated to the prestigious rank of Senior Member by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity and IEEE Senior Membership is an honor bestowed only to those who have made significant contributions to the profession. With this recognition, Dr. Daba now joins an elite group of professionals who not only excel in their technical and professional fields but also contribute actively to the broader engineering community.

As an IEEE Senior Member, Dr. Daba will benefit from several exclusive privileges, including professional recognition, eligibility for leadership roles within IEEE, referral privileges, as well as senior member review panel.

Vice President for Internationalization and Engagement and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Professor Rami Abboud extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Daba on this well-deserved recognition.
