​The University of Balamand (UOB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Batroun Hospital. The agreement was signed by Dr. Elias Warrak President of UOB, Dr. Sami Azar Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at UOB, Mr. Ayoub Elie Mokhbat Director of Batroun Hospital, and Dr. Marlene Awad, Medical Director of Batroun Hospital.

The aim of this agreement is to elevate the level of healthcare in Lebanon by developing medical training programs at the university level. Both parties are committed to excellence in healthcare and clinical training, making Batroun Hospital an academic medical center. As part of this agreement, the hospital will provide training programs for medical students, helping them apply the advanced knowledge they have acquired during their studies through practical medical practice.

This collaboration between the hospital and the university represents a promising path for preparing a new generation of young doctors. It directly contributes to raising the medical and scientific standards in Lebanon and the region. UOB will serve as an academic, cultural, and national pillar supporting the hospital's presence and contributing to its scientific prominence and excellence in healthcare.
