The University of Balamand (UOB) and the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that aims at enhancing the educational opportunities available to the Directorate's officers. The MOU was signed by Dr. Elias Warrak, President of UOB and Major General Imad Osman, General Director of the Internal Security Forces.

Both parties emphasized the importance and necessity of improving the skills of officers at all levels, which will ultimately enhance their performance in fulfilling national duties. With this vision in mind, the University of Balamand has committed to utilizing its vast resources to support officers and their families in pursuing higher education across various majors. This agreement is in line with the university’s educational mission in Lebanon.
