The University of Balamand (UOB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lebanese Private Sector Network (LPSN), a non-governmental organization dedicated to addressing Lebanon’s economic challenges, on the 13th of March, 2025. The MOU aims to create a productive partnership between the two organizations to support Lebanon's economic recovery and provide opportunities for UOB students, and foster technological advancement in education through Artificial Intelligence (AI).

LPSN, which includes business leaders from Lebanon’s private sector, works to advocate for a favorable investment climate and promote growth for businesses. Meanwhile, UOB focuses on shaping a skilled workforce and fostering economic growth through research, professional development, and consultancy, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies like AI into its academic framework.

Under this agreement, LPSN will provide UOB students with internship and employment opportunities, helping them gain practical experience in the private sector. In turn, UOB will support LPSN’s initiatives and joint projects. This collaboration aims to strengthen the relationship between academia and the private sector, creating opportunities for students and contributing to the long-term development of Lebanon’s economy.
