ALBA Students Revamp MEDCO’s Uniforms in Fashion Collaboration

MEDCO, a Lebanese leading importer and distributor of refined petroleum products, partnered with the School of Fashion Design (École de Mode) at Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) at the University of Balamand (UOB) to redesign the uniforms for MEDCO’s forecourt staff.

ALBA students showcased their designs in a fashion show, with a panel of judges including Mrs. Michelle Garzouzi, CIO of MEDCO, Mr. Rabih Kayrouz, renowned Lebanese fashion designer, and patron of ALBA Ecole de Mode, Arch. Fadlallah Dagher, Dean of ALBA, and Mr. Eric Ritter, Director of the School of Fashion Design who selected the winning design. The first place winner was Joy Wakim, a third-year student, whose design was praised for its originality and attention to detail.

The collaboration between MEDCO and ALBA's School of Fashion Design showcased the creativity and talent of ALBA students. MEDCO is excited about the upcoming uniforms, which will reflect its commitment to innovation. This partnership highlights the importance of combining education with real-world experience, supporting the next generation of designers.
