The Career Services Center at the University of Balamand (UOB), hosted a panel discussion titled “Sustainable Practices in Companies and Organizations” on April 15, 2025 in collaboration with women in Engineering (WIE) IEEE club and Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) club. The panel was moderated by Dr. Yasmine Jabali, Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The event featured four guest speakers from well-known companies, each sharing how sustainability is part of their day-to-day work. Estelle Zanetty, Sustainability Officer at Beesline, Loulya Halwany, Senior Marketing and Sales Manager at FabricAID, Rachelle Abi Nader, Talent Acquisition and Succession Planning Manager at Malia Group, and Theresa El Hachem, Marketing Manager at Debbane Agriculture Holding, all spoke about the steps their organizations are taking to support environmental and social responsibility.

This session gave students valuable insight into how sustainability is applied across different industries and helped them better understand the important role businesses play in creating a more sustainable future.
