The University of Balamand welcomed new students for the academic year 2019 - 2020 during the orientation day held at the Kurah Campus on Tuesday August 20, 2019. The day started with a welcoming address by Acting Dean of Admissions, Registration and Student Affairs, Dr. Walid Moubayed, who greeted students on behalf of UOB President, Dr. Elias Warrak.

New comers were then briefed about the University of Balamand, registration procedures were highlighted along with a number of university services that will support their student experience throughout their years of study. New students were then divided into groups based on their majors, mentored by old students from each faculty, they toured the campus and met faculty members from their respective departments. The day was concluded with a reception where students cut a cake with Provost Dr. George Bahr and Dean Moubayed, signaling the beginning of their UOB experience.
