UOB organizes Healthy Ventures: Women Entrepreneurs Event

The Career Services Center at the University of Balamand organized a panel discussion titled "Healthy Ventures: Women Entrepreneurs" at the Ghassan Rizk Auditorium on February 11, 2025. The event, attended by both students and staff, is part of the university's ongoing entrepreneurship panels series, which aims to empower and inspire women in the entrepreneurial world.

The session featured four successful women entrepreneurs, each sharing their unique journeys, challenges, and insights into building successful businesses. The panelists included Batoul Toutounji, Founder of Light Heart Clinic; Soumaya Merhi, Founder of TAQA Snacks; Christina Fares, Founder of Body Balance and B Healthy Eatery; and Wafa El Hassan, Founder of Tiny Wafa.

Among these inspiring women, Batoul Toutounji, Christina Fares, and Wafa El Hassan are all proud University of Balamand alumni. They highlighted how their time at the university, from the courses they studied to their engagement in student activities, played an integral role in shaping their entrepreneurial paths and contributing to their current achievements.

The discussion was moderated by Mrs. Diala Farah, Director of the Career Services Center, who led the panelists through an engaging conversation. Throughout the session, the panelists reflected on the obstacles they encountered along the way, highlighting the importance of perseverance and maintaining focus on long-term goals to overcome challenges. They also took the opportunity to share their future ambitions and the goals they continue to pursue in their industries.

This event underscored the pivotal role of women in driving innovation and shaping the future of entrepreneurship.
